Elephant Class

Hello, we are Elephant Class!

Elephant Class consists of 11 pupils, 6 boys and 5 girls, in Years 5 and 6.

We follow a structured timetable for Maths and Literacy, alternating between subjects each morning. Learning is organised through a classroom carousel, offering a range of activities linked to our current topic, individual tasks, and personalised key skills. During these sessions, pupils work 1:1 with staff, in small groups, and independently.

We are developing our social skills and turn-taking through playing and learning games with our peers, both in the classroom and out on the playground.

We also enjoy taking part in topic-based activities, which help us build a deeper understanding of the subjects we are studying.

This term, we are excited to restart our weekly swimming lessons at Romsey Rapids. Next half term, we will be taking part in kayaking, where we will focus on building confidence in and around the water. These activities support the development of focus, coordination, confidence, and teamwork.
