Forest Park School provides education for children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties. In addition, many of our pupils have co-existing conditions such as Autism, Down syndrome, physical disabilities and complex medical needs. A significant number of our pupils are non-verbal and require highly individualised support to access learning and communication.

Forest Park School is a Hampshire County Council maintained special school and all placements are made through the Hampshire Special Educational Needs (SEN) Service. Parents and carers cannot apply directly for a place at our school.

To be considered for a placement, a child or young person must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Hampshire SEN Service will consult with the school where it believes Forest Park School may be an appropriate placement to meet the child's identified needs.

If your child already has an EHCP and you would like to discuss whether Forest Park School may be suitable, please speak with your child's SEN Caseworker in the first instance.

School Visits and Open Events

We regularly offer opportunities for families to learn more about our school. Attendance at an open event or visit does not form part of the admissions process and does not guarantee a school place. However, these sessions can help parents and carers understand the provision available at Forest Park School.
