Overview
Our Curriculum at Forest Park is designed to be personalised, meaningful and relevant, to meet the individualised learning needs of each and every child in the school. We start with the child and the skills and knowledge that they need to develop, linked with their EHCP and their Key Skills.
Our curriculum areas are rooted in the National Curriculum, but have been combined together to create more meaningful and connected learning opportunities for the children.
These areas are:

- Communication and Literacy
- Creativity
- World Around Us
- Personal Development
- Physical Development
The areas of learning are often delivered through a thematic approach using topics. These topics change every term and are different for each Key Stage throughout the school, to allow for progression. Topics also provide a breadth of exciting opportunities and connections to real world learning and outings.
