Sycamore Class
Sycamore class is based at the secondary site in a modular building shared with Oak Class. There are six pupils in our class ranging from Year 8 to Year 11. We are a lively, busy and fun class who love to be out and about.
We love to be active and spend as much time as possible learning outside; this also helps to ensure that we are well regulated and ready to learn. We particularly enjoy being outside looking after the sensory garden and spending time with our friends practising our physical skills, communication and social skills on the outdoor gym equipment.
We are getting really good at following our schedules and knowing where we are meant to be throughout the day, both in class and around the school site. We are really enjoying writing our shopping lists, going to buy our shopping in the local supermarket and then coming back to class to do some cooking.
More recently we have been really enjoying our weekly swimming sessions at Romsey Rapids. This has proven to be a real success for all of us and we are developing our confidence in the water, alongside some swimming skills.
We enjoy listening to music in Sycamore class, particularly a number of different rap songs, party songs and football chants! It’s always fun to see whose song is going to be played next!
