School Meals

Hampshire County Council Catering Services (HC3S) provide our school meals which are cooked fresh daily on each site.

The food is of good quality and is additive free.  The school encourages pupils to eat healthily and school dinners are a good way of supporting this.  They also offer a hot meal every day, which provides good value for money.  All standard special dietary requirements are catered for.

Dinner money is payable weekly or may be paid half-termly or termly in advance. When a child has paid dinner money and is unexpectedly absent, money is held in credit.

All dinner money is to be paid via Arbor - sorry the school are no longer able to accept payment by cash or cheque.  If you're not currently signed up to Arbor, please contact the Admin team who will help you to register on your phone; it’s a quick and convenient way to pay for school meals.

Free School Meals

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they can get free school meals as part of the national Universal Free Infant School Meals Scheme.

It is important that if you receive a qualifying benefit you still register for free school meals under the eligibility scheme as schools get government funding called Pupil Premium for those pupils who qualify.

For pupils in Year 3 and above, a child is eligible for free school meals if their parent or carer receives one or more of the following benefits:

  • income Support
  • income-based Job Seekers' Allowance
  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit, provided you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit, and have an annual gross income, of no more than £16,190 as assessed by His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (Parents who are made redundant or start working less that 16 hours per week, may find their children are entitled to free meals for a limited period.)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
