Elephant Class
Hello, we are Elephant Class!
Elephant Class consists of 10 pupils – 6 boys and 4 girls – in Years 5 and 6.
We follow a structured timetable for Maths and Literacy, alternating between subjects each morning. Our learning is organised through a classroom carousel, which includes a variety of activities linked to our current topic, individual tasks, and personalised key skills. During these sessions, pupils will work 1:1 with staff, in small groups, and independently.
We are developing our social and turn-taking skills by learning and playing games with our peers in the playground. So far, we have football, and we are looking forward to trying many other games.
We also enjoy taking part in topic-based activities, which help us deepen our understanding of the subject we are currently studying.
This term, we are participating in archery and bouldering. These activities help us develop focus, coordination, and teamwork. Next half term, we will begin weekly swimming lessons at Romsey Rapids, where we will work on building our confidence in the water and improving our swimming skills.
